Your Day To Day             

  • Familiarize with all electrical connection of lighting, telephone, PA system, TV and fire alarm system.

  • Operate and control functioning of main panels and extension for power, lighting, telephone and etc.

  • All performance must compliant with the established Department Quality Standards (QSS), IEE and Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulation.

  • Regularly monitor the condition of hotel electrical installations and inform the shift engineer or any unusual matters. 

  • Record the property electrical consumption reading (meter) on a daily basis.

  • Prioritize work in line with guest request and management.

  • Perform all routine preventive maintenance and curative maintenance.

  • Maintain clean and tidy plant rooms and risers.

  • Maintain a level of boarder knowledge which enables you to handle problem in all fields of the department.

  • Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions/extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel.

  • Repair and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities and equipment.

  • Assist with the implementation of the Hotel preventive maintenance and repair log system.

  • Participate in instructing colleagues on the proper operation, safety procedure and cleaning of all equipment.

  • Establish and maintain proper parts inventory levels.

  • Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues.

  • Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors.

  • Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the hotel.

  • Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.

  • Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.

  • Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or regulation of the hotel is represented.

 

What We Need From You

  • Vocational Certificate or equivalent

  • 1 year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Relevant trade skills

  • Able to read and write in English.
