IHG Academy Partnerships

Become an IHG Academy partner today to help connect those you work with, with meaningful work experiences or opportunities.

What is an IHG Academy Partnership?

IHG Academy's Partnership offering helps individuals kick start their hospitality career. It's open to anyone of all backgrounds including those that are currently completing their studies and thinking about their career options, to those that are maybe exploring a career move or need an extra helping hand getting into employment.

We believe that by supporting social and economic change through our partnerships with schools, universities, charities and NGOs, we can give young people and those impacted by discrimination, poverty and other barriers to secure work the skills needed to launch their careers.

There are number of different ways we partner with organisations to deliver our world class IHG Academy programme.

Discover

Online not for you?

We visit schools and colleges to deliver our IHG Academy – Discover sessions and share with your students a bit more about what it’s like to work in the hospitality industry.

Alternatively, subject to availability, we can run a ‘Discover’ session in one of our hotels and give your students/members a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes.

Discover Testimonials

"The IHG Academy – Discover was a great opportunity! I learned so much about IHG as a business, the brands, the industry, and possible career opportunities. During the break-out sessions, I was able to connect with employees and learn about different jobs. I was excited to be accepted for the summer internship program!

Apprenticeships

"I completed my Level 3 Business Apprenticeship with IHG between 2016 and 2023. I was employed as a full-time receptionist at Holiday Inn Preston upon completion and I stayed and never looked back. By the age of 19, I had carried out my duty manager training, and became the department supervisor at 21. By 22 I was a head of department.

After getting some great experience in hotel operations, I applied for a role within our corporate office in early 2023 and became and Specialist with our Loyalty team. In April, I applied and was successful for a manager position for Performance Programmes within EMEAA. It’s been an amazing journey so far and I would recommend and apprentice programme to anyone looking for a different, hands-on route into a rewarding and fulfilling career."
