We’re currently seeking a Sous Chef to join our team at the Crowne Plaza Canberra Hotel. Our team look after Redsalt Restaurant, Lume Bar, Room Service, and Conferencing catering for functions up to 150 people. 
 
Reporting to the Executive Chef, our Sous Chef manages the day to day running of the kitchen, this is a hands on role, leading by example while supporting and mentoring the team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive chef on menu creation and will look after some administrative tasks including but not limited to; rostering, stock take and ordering
 
We're looking for someone with a well rounded experience in creating food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service and functions. The successful candidate will be a great leader with a high level of verbal communication, strong time management skills, impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. You have a genuine passion for the food industry, ensuring quality and maintain high standards and keep the kitchen running smoothly, and you have an understanding of HACCP and Work, Health and Safety legislation.
