Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze learning needs and identify current learning gaps in commercial-related space. Make recommendations for learning priorities and solutions that suits IHG’s business needs.
  • Understand targeted audience groups learning styles and preferences. Make recommendations for learning methodology and channels that best suits the targeted audience groups.
  • Deliver existing & new commercial training programs (face-to-face, virtual training and web-based learning) to hotel leaders and colleagues.
  • Leverage global learning resources and platform as appropriate and identify areas where localization is required. 
  • Manage overall design, development and deployment of new commercial learning programs (face-to face, virtual or web-based training) within the agreed budget through working with function teams or selected third party.
  • Oversee the pilot, roll-out and implementation of new commercial learning programs. 
  • Ensure learning is embedded by working with commercial performance and/or revenue management team to ensure effective support, coaching and mentoring is in place.
  • Revisit programs which have been implemented and make sure programs are updated and feedbacks are incorporated.

Key Skills & Experiences

Required Skills –

  • Ability to design, facilitate and deliver learning programs with impact.
  • Knowledge of hotel industry commercial performance and/or revenue management.
  • Business acumen.
  • Ability to work across multiple business units and matrix organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative, communication skills
  • Strong project management skills to scope, plan and deliver project key milestones
  • Strong adaptability in an environment of ambiguity or change.
  • Excellent Chinese and English proficiency both verbal and written.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work
