Pool Attendant - Six Senses Kanuhura

Duties and Responsibilities 

As Pool Attendant, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: 

• Ensure swimming pools and ponds are cleaned as per resort schedules. 
• Carry out any specific cleaning or maintenance on an ad hoc basis. 
• Carry out water analysis tests as per schedules. 
• Carry out preventative and routine maintenance on swimming pools, ponds and plant. 
• Work closely with Engineering department to maintain proper water quality and mechanical operation of the swimming pools and ponds. 
• Liaise with Engineering Coordinator on the ordering of all pool chemicals. 
• Maintain working areas and equipment in a clean and tidy condition. 
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded. 
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments. 

Qualifications

To execute the position of Pool Attendant, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar hotel operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Technical skills include water pump knowledge in how water is pumped to fountains, pools and thermal areas and basic mechanical skills. I have good understanding of pool PH levels, chemical handling, water levels and consistency of balance. I am comfortable to work in an outdoor setting environment. 
• Fluent in English.
