The Lead Engineer IT Software Development & Maintenance role has the primary responsibility of leading, advising and coaching a team of software developers and support roles. The Lead Engineer for IT Software Development & Maintenance is an execution-focused leader within a team, providing leadership, technical guidance, and workflow management daily. The Lead Engineer IT Software Development & Maintenance triages complex problems escalated from junior team members, explains procedures, and coaches the team members through the escalation.  

 

Your Day to Day 

  • Provide technical solutions for complex problems for analyzing, designing, coding, debugging and documenting software, including interface components, graphical screens, reports, and high-level logic for application system(s).  
  • Own and manage the Reltio Master Data Management (MDM) platform to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and data quality. Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of Reltio data models, entities, relationships, reference objects, and survivorship rules.
  • Define and optimize match, merge, identity resolution, and duplicate prevention strategies across enterprise domains. Establish and enforce data governance, stewardship, privacy, security, and compliance standards for master data assets.
  • Support enterprise initiatives involving AI-driven data quality, data enrichment, customer 360, and digital transformation programs. Drive continuous improvement through platform upgrades, automation, performance tuning, and adoption of emerging Reltio capabilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and leverage Reltio capabilities including Match & Merge, Reltio Integration Hub (RIH), Data Loader, Identity Resolution, and AI-enabled features. Experience identifying, prioritizing, and delivering enterprise AI use cases. Experience leading AI proof-of-concepts, pilots, production deployments, and adoption programs.
  • Develop strategies for the continued planning, scheduling, and coordination of system tests for reliability, scalability, and maintainability and monitor test results to take or assign required corrective action. Lead cloud architecture initiatives utilizing AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Event Bridge, and CloudWatch. Support enterprise integration platforms, APIs, event-driven architectures, and data platforms hosted on AWS.
  • Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, resilience, and operational excellence. Establish AI adoption of roadmaps and promote responsible AI practices across the organization. Drive intelligent automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, improve productivity, and accelerate business processes. Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and vendor capabilities to continuously improve organizational capabilities. Leads proofs of concepts and acts as an advisor to Sr. level IT management on strategic decisions concerning legacy and/or new technology.
  • Provide expertise in conducting project and code reviews to ensure development conforms to governance, standards, requirements, and the software development life cycle as defined.  
  • Facilitate the design, development, and implementation of real-time applications for use in a multi-platform environment. Implement complex programs and lead/coordinate project/program and systems documentation according to established IT standards. Diagnoses complex problems and lead/coordinate cross-team collaboration to resolve. Provide reports on project development status to software engineering management and other key stakeholders.
  • Analyzes the stability and health of our systems/environment utilizing monitoring tools and may be required to produce reports. Leads system upgrades and complex break/fix solutions. Act as subject matter expert in focus area(s) and acts as a lead role for both onshore and offshore vendor/supplier development teams

 

What We Need From You 

  • Bachelor's or master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.  
  • Typically, a minimum of 10+ years of progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position.
  • Experience working with a set of geographically dispersed team and bringing a holistic view of development projects
  • Strong expertise in Reltio data modeling, including Entities, Relationships, Reference Data, Crosswalks, and Hierarchies. Strong knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
  • Experience designing and implementing Match & Merge, Survivorship, Identity Resolution, and Data Quality solutions. Experience integrating Reltio with enterprise applications using REST APIs, Event Streaming, MuleSoft, Kafka, Informatica, AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with business, architecture, engineering, privacy, governance, and vendor teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.
  • Strong knowledge in addition to experience in related software architectures and development methodologies. Strong expertise in AWS core services including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, and Event Bridge.
  • Strong monitoring and observability experience using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk Observatory Platform, AppDynamics. Knowledge of event-driven integration patterns using Kafka, Event Bridge, SNS, and SQS.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Lambda functions. Experience leveraging Generative AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs) for enterprise solutions. Experience designing, deploying, and governing AI Agents that automate complex business workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, Master Data Management (MDM), Customer 360, data governance, and AI-ready data foundations. Experience working within Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to display effective verbal and written communication skills when explaining complex technical issues to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, including clients, vendors, senior management, and staff. Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the software engineering team's knowledge of the customers' business needs. Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.  
  • Extensive knowledge and development expertise in one or more of the following disciplines required: Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, ETL tools; Financial, HR and Collaboration systems and tools; Systems applications including but not limited to: - JAVA, J2EE, OO, XML, Web Services SQL; Security & Identity Technologies’
