Join us as a Human Resources Officer in Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. We’re looking for someone who can:

Be responsible for the managing of HR administration responsibilities and supporting the full spectrum of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, administration, compensation and benefits, training and employee relations.

Financial returns:

  • Manage costs and expenses incurred for order of stationary and office supplies necessary for recruitment, employee relations and training.
  • Manage employee benefit administration (i.e. dental, insurance claims & follow ups)
  • Ensure timely and accuracy of all leave accruals (if any)

 

Guest experience:

  • Be familiar with Hotel Indigo's Neighbourhood Story and share it with new hires during orientations and students on a site visit.
  • Assist in site inspections for schools, colleges, and universities
  • Support the administration of the Employee Recognition program

 

Responsible business:

  • Ensure recruitment and selection is adhered to by IHG standards and compliant with the Employment Act
  • Manage HR administration such as personnel files, contracts, letters, uniform fitting, application, renewal and cancellation of work passes
  • Ensure timely and accurate update of employee details into the HR system
  • Prepare letters for promotions, transfers, acceptance of resignation & employment certificates
  • Manage the on-boarding process of new hires to maintain and improve the employee’s experience.
  • Prepare and monitor training programs for Future Leaders, Work Experience and Interns.
  • Co-ordinate internal training programs such as Orientation and Service oriented courses.
  • Update and maintain staff training records
  • Assist to drive welfare and recreation activities for the colleagues.
  • To support HR with other HR related projects or tasks.

 

Accountability:

You will act as a HR business partner for both colleagues and managers in the Hotel. This requires close relationship with Department Heads and line managers to support their departmental goals through effective recruitment and retention strategies, performance management and leveraging on internal programmes and policies. 

You will also help to create a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources or Training
  • At least 1 year of experience in managing the full spectrum of HR 
  • Proficient in Microsoft
  • Team player and excellent communication skills – written and spoken
  • Positive attitude 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Flexible to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Knowledge of Employment Act will be advantageous
