Job Requirement:

  1. Must be resident of Guam. Able to work on Guam without any work visa.
  2. Hourly non-exempt position, $13.00 per hour.
  3. At lease two (2) years of experience in Resort housekeeping in a lead or supervisory capacity.

 

What’s the job?

The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the safety, cleanliness & upkeep of all guest rooms, public areas and laundry operations. This involves daily inspection, maintenance, reporting and follow through. This role ensures compliance with the brand; federal and state, and/or local regulatory and inspection requirements as well as supervision and inspection of the work of assigned housekeeping attendants to ensure product and service quality standards are met.

  • Lead the team by example by promoting and maintaining a safe and positive workplace.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance, appearance, and attitude
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communication and coordination with managers, team members, and other departments
  • Advice managers on daily staffing recommendations
  • Communicate management goals and ensure compliance of policies and procedures
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings as requested by managers
  • Assist in conducting performance appraisals and other HR-related actions as requested by managers

Financial

  • Implements the preventive maintenance program to ensure the facility is well maintained and safe for colleagues and guests.
  • Controls expenses and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
  • Ensures completion of all opening and closing procedures to include distribution of housekeeper’s daily assignment, filling out supply requisitions, maintenance request forms, and updating log books, etc.
  • Supervises inventory of supplies, parts and equipment efficiently to minimizing waste, achieve cost per room goals for supplies and labor.
  • Supervises assigned projects, monitors service performance, and ensures timely completion of projects within budget.

Guest Experience

  • Supervises the quality delivery of housekeeping programs and laundry services.
  • Inspects guest rooms, public areas, furnishings, linens and equipment to ensure all areas of the Resort are clean and in good repair, bringing to life the Crowne Plaza brand.
  • Supervises safety and ensures maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, laundry, equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), and ventilation.

Responsible Business

  • Consult with managers to identify and realize optimal service delivery standards
  • Be familiar with emergency response plans and be able to execute accordingly
  • Ensure that work area is neat, organized and clean
  • Responsible for the proper on-boarding, training and development of direct reports
  • Initiate and innovate concepts that assist Front Office operations
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance of all Resort and Departmental policies
  • Ensure any potential or real hazard is reported appropriately and immediately
  • Maintains rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the local community.
  • Promotes and drives engagement in Green Engage.
  • Ensure proper handling of chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we need from you

  1. Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Service years - At lease two years of experience in Resort housekeeping in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  3. Language - Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
  4. Knowledge and skills
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees. 
  • Problem solving, reasoning, analytical, motivating, and training abilities are often used when assessing food service delivery and coordinating functions. 
  • Basic math skills, reading, and writing are used when completing paperwork.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.Preferred (if required)
  • Carrying, lifting, pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
  • Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling
