Your day to day
- Conduct audits of daily revenue reports, including room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and other income sources.
- Verify that all transactions are properly recorded and accurately reflect the hotel's financial activity.
- Reconcile revenue accounts with supporting documentation, such as cash deposits, credit card transactions, and guest folios.
- Ensure that all revenue is properly accounted for and that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Review guest folios, invoices, and billing statements to ensure accuracy. Confirm that all charges, taxes, and fees are correctly applied and properly recorded.
- Perform random spot checks of cash handling procedures, such as cash registers, petty cash, and safe balances. Verify that all cash transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
- Analyze revenue trends and patterns to identify any irregularities or potential revenue leakage. Investigate discrepancies and work with relevant departments to rectify any issues.
- Prepare regular financial reports, such as daily revenue reports, weekly summaries, and monthly income statements.
What we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the same field
