As the F&B Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operation and performance of our Restaurant, Bar, IRD and Conferencing outlets. You’ll inspire and develop the team, drive commercial results and ensure our guests receive consistently exceptional experiences. You’ll take ownership of embedding and maximising IHG and the hotels Food & Beverage tools, systems and standards, while ensuring operational excellence, quality and compliance across all areas. From creating memorable guest experiences to driving team performance and identifying opportunities to grow the operations, you’ll play a key role in shaping the success of our F&B operation. 

 

A little taste of your day to day

  • Lead and develop the F&B team, fostering exceptional guest service, teamwork, accountability and professional growth

  • Develop and execute F&B promotions and activations that enhance the guest experience and drive revenue

  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with South Australian liquor licensing requirements

  • Manage F&B inventory, stock levels and monthly stocktakes in line with budget and operational requirements

  • Maintain current F&B policies, procedures and documentation in line with IHG and hotel standards

  • Manage staffing, rostering, training, performance and workflows to ensure efficient operations and high service standards

  • Manage budgets and control food, beverage and labour costs to maximise profitability

  • Drive guest satisfaction and service standards across Restaurant, Bar, IRD and Conferencing, including effective response to guest feedback

  • Ensure compliance with IHG standards, food safety, health and safety and other relevant legislation

  • Monitor F&B performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency and profitability

 

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field and/or; 4+ years’ related experience, including multiple venue management experience 

  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, Responsible Person Badge & First Aid Certificate

  • Strong understanding of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020, South Australian liquor licensing requirements, budget management, cost control, rostering and payroll, with the ability to balance operational requirements, compliance and business performance

  • A passion for delivering results while continuously developing both people and self

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills with clear focus on quality and standards

  • Strong understanding of hotel systems and technology, particularly hotel management system, and navigating various systems to effectively support smooth day to day operations

  • You’ll be on your feet most of the day with bending and kneeling. Sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull objects, to 23 kg – we have the equipment to support you

  • Evenings, weekends, afternoon work and public holidays are all part of the job
