Your Day to Day: 

Swimming Pool Maintenance

  • Regularly test and maintain proper chemical levels in the swimming pool, including chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and other necessary water parameters.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and clarity of the pool water by vacuuming, skimming, and backwashing filtration systems as needed. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, including decks, furniture, and equipment, ensuring their cleanliness, functionality, and safety. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and controllers, or coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs. 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to pool operations, including signage, lifeguard certifications, and emergency equipment.

Financial 

  • Assist in developing and managing maintenance budgets specific to the swimming pool area, ensuring cost-effective practices and alignment with financial goals. 
  • Identify opportunities to optimize pool maintenance processes, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiencies without compromising quality or safety. 
  • Collaborate with engineering management to prioritize swimming pool maintenance tasks based on criticality and budget constraints. 
  • Coordinate with external contractors for periodic inspections, repairs, or services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality workmanship.

Guest Experience

  • Provide a safe, clean, and inviting environment for guests using the swimming pool area. - Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries or concerns related to pool operations, ensuring their satisfaction and safety.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain pool furniture, umbrellas, and related amenities, ensuring their cleanliness and proper functionality. 
  • Monitor and enforce pool rules and safety guidelines to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable experience for all guests. 
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to address guest concerns and provide a seamless guest experience.

Responsible Business 

  • Adhere to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations to ensure compliance within the swimming pool area.
  • Promote environmentally friendly practices in pool operations, such as minimizing water waste and utilizing energy-efficient equipment. 
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and responsible pool maintenance techniques to drive continuous improvement.

 

What we need from you: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification; certifications in pool operations, water treatment, or related fields preferred. 
  • Proven experience in swimming pool maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting. 
  • Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, water treatment, filtration systems, and pool equipment maintenance. 
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to swimming pool operations. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment and coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently interact with guests, colleagues, and external stakeholders. 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or in a team environment. 
  • Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
