We’re looking for a dynamic, confident, and ambitious Full-Time Duty Manager to join our Front Office Team at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley.
Nestled in the scenic Hawkesbury River Valley, just 45 minutes from Sydney, our hotel offers a unique blend of indulgence and urban convenience. From conferences and romantic retreats to group getaways, our resort-style property provides unforgettable guest experiences across 8 hectares of landscaped gardens, luxurious accommodations, and exclusive spa services.
About the Role:
As Duty Manager, you will report directly to the Front Office Manager and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the hotel. This includes supporting and supervising the Reception and Concierge teams, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring personalized service delivery throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead front office operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and issues, providing proactive solutions.
- Oversee and mentor front office team members, fostering development and excellence.
- Should be able to perform night audit shifts a few times per week, ensuring accurate financial reconciliation and smooth overnight operations.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth transitions across shifts.
About You:
- An approachable person and have a real passion for providing connecting and seamless service to ensure a memorable guest experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hotel Front Office position, with exposure to both front desk and reservations procedures
- You will be able to demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal and willingness to manage multiple tasks, conflicting deadlines and varying guest situations
- Comfortable working night audit shifts as part of your regular roster.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera).
- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, public holidays and the upcoming festive season period
- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country
