What is the job?
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to join our commercial team at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach.
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, developing key business relationships, expanding market share, and leading the hotel's sales efforts across corporate, leisure, MICE, travel trade, and wholesale segments.
The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership capabilities, an established network within Bali and key feeder markets, and a proven track record of exceeding commercial targets in luxury or lifestyle hospitality environments.
Your day-to-day
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with the hotel's commercial objectives and IHG brand standards.
- Drive room revenue, ADR, and market share growth across all key market segments, including Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Wholesale, OTA, and Travel Trade.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales strategies to maximize revenue performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel agents, wholesalers, event planners, destination management companies, and key industry partners.
- Lead sales prospecting activities, contract negotiations, and account management to secure long-term business partnerships.
- Work closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure commercial strategies are executed effectively.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and industry functions locally and internationally.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all sales activities are conducted in compliance with IHG systems, processes, and commercial standards.
- Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in delivering the overall commercial strategy and achieving hotel performance objectives.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience, including at least 2–3 years in a senior sales leadership position within a 5-star, luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of the MICE, Corporate, Leisure, Travel Trade, Wholesale, OTA, and Wedding/Event segments.
- Established network of industry contacts in Bali and key feeder markets.
- Proven success in achieving revenue, ADR, and sales targets.
- Strong experience in sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Proficient in hotel sales and CRM systems, including Opera, Delphi, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with IHG systems and brand standards is highly desirable.
- Bali-based or willing to relocate to Bali.
